I applaud the efforts of the many people who raise funds for the cure of breast cancer and the research needed to achieve that. I have lost my mother, aunt and grandmother, all to breast cancer. I also understand that Susan G. Komen (Race for the Cure) funds Planned Parenthood, the largest promoter/provider of abortion in our country. Many Catholics don’t realize this, and sadly some don’t care, but the protection of the dignity of life (and preventing the killing of innocent unborn, whether directly or indirectly) is one of the major tenets of our faith.
