Churches were packed for Ash Wednesday Masses, as Catholics observed the start of Lent. I decided to go to St. Michael the Archangel in Overlea to ask fourth graders there about what Lent meant to them and how it’s changing their lives now.
They also took the time to explain their participation in one of Catholic Relief Services’ major projects, Operation Rice Bowl.
