Not disrespectful to stand on a blanket

I agree that it is disrespectful to stand on a U.S. flag (CR, Oct. 11), but it was a throw blanket. There are no grommets on the blanket to raise it on a flagpole. I guess if I have a throw blanket with the image of the Sacred Heart, I’m not allowed to stand on that either? It was a blanket. Let it go.

Flag photo was disrespectful

I am writing in reference to your photo on page 3 of the Oct. 11 issue. To see a mom and her daughter standing at the begining of an outside mass is excellent. To see them standing on the American Flag (even if a blanket) is disrespectful. Shame on them, but more importantly, shame of the Review for publishing this disrespectful picture.
