Due to four scheduled back-to-back confirmations last weekend, I was unable to attend Archbishop Borders’ funeral. But I was more than present in spirit.

It appears that only two bishops were willing to take the Catholic Health Association to task for its support of the final Health Care Bill (CR, April 22). The USCCB is beginning to look feeble in representing the church’s social doctrine.
