Tour a fire engine at health fair

Thanks to a positive response from parishioners and new and returning participants, the Church of the Resurrection, Ellicott City, ninth annual Health Information Fair has grown.
The highlight of the Sept. 9 fair (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) will be the Howard County Fire and Rescue Service Station 2 who will offer tours of their fully-equipped fire engine and medical emergency vehicle, as well as home safety information.
Health fair visitors will encounter representatives from various fields ready to discuss the latest topics and answer questions on psychiatry, allergy/immunology, pediatrics, dentistry, maternal-fetal medicine, fitness/nutrition, dermatology and more.

St. Agnes Hospital, Baltimore, and two other area hospitals will offer screenings and information on their services, and the Howard County Health Department will provide information on substance abuse prevention.

The parish fair is sponsored by the parish council, the fellowship committee and the Resurrection liturgy medical alert team.
