Thanks for priests

This has been set aside by Pope Benedict XVI as the Year for Priests; we also give special appreciation for priests on the first Sunday of June. There are far more priests giving of themselves and upholding the teachings of Christ than the media would have us believe. Consider how we depend on the priest offering the Mass, absolving our sins (in the name of Christ), reconciling ourselves to God, providing spiritual strength, giving comfort and guidance. For all the good that the majority of priests provide, the media focuses on the failings of some. Please pray for the clergy. As we need their prayers, they also need ours.
