Statement Regarding New Allegations of Child Sex Abuse by Father Blackwell

The Archdiocese is saddened to learn from media reports of another allegation of child sexual abuse against Father Blackwell. The Archdiocese encourages all victims of child abuse to contact appropriate civil authorities so that law enforcement can intiate an investigation. We also encourage victims of child abuse to contact the Archdiocese so that the Archdiocese can offer appropriate pastoral counseling assistance and take necessary steps to protect children.
