The St. Agnes Foundation will honor Albert “Skip” and Margie Counselman by presenting them with the Caritas Award at the annual spring gala, March 24 at M&T Bank Stadium. The award is given each year to a couple who demonstrate an ongoing commitment to St. Agnes Healthcare and the Baltimore community.
“Throughout the years, the Counselmans have carried out the St. Agnes tradition of compassionate care and generosity of spirit in their work with the hospital and so many other community organizations,” said Sherry Welch, president of the St. Agnes Foundation. “We are excited to honor such kindhearted people this year.”
Mr. Counselman has served as the chairman of the board for St. Agnes Healthcare for three years. He is also a major donor and member of the beacon of hope Capital Campaign Steering Committee.
Mrs. Counselman is an active leader in the Baltimore community who applies her great expertise and energy to all of her philanthropic efforts. She is a member of the Development Committee of Mother Seton Academy, Fells Point, the Music committee of Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, Homeland, and the Friends of Gallagher Services, Timonium.
