St. Agnes Auxiliary celebrates 100 years of service

In honor of the St. Agnes Auxiliary’s 100th anniversary a reception was held April 18 at St. Agnes Hospital, Baltimore. The Auxiliary was founded in 1907 and it is the oldest continuously serving auxiliary of its kind in the nation.

“We are so blessed to have the support of the Auxiliary who have donated more than a million dollars since its inception,” said Sherry Welch, president of the St. Agnes Foundation. “The Auxiliary has risen to the occasion every time the hospital expressed need.”

During the reception, St. Agnes President and CEO Bonnie Phipps and St. Agnes Foundation Chair Jean Colandrea, M.D. presented Robert Recker, President of the Auxiliary, with a commemorative plaque in honor of the anniversary.
