A funeral Mass for Sister Mary Bonaventure Grabowski, F.S. was offered July 30 at Felician Sisters’ Infirmary Chapel, Our Lady of Lourdes Hall, N.J. Sister Mary died July 27; she was 89.
The former Josephine Grabowski was born in Baltimore. She entered the postulancy of the Felician Sisters in Lodi, N.J. in 1935, and received the Felician habit in 1936. She made her first religious vows in 1937, and professed her final vows in 1943. A teacher on the college, secondary and elementary levels, Sister Bonaventure was also the congregational historian. Her teaching ministry was mainly in New Jersey.
