A funeral Mass for Ursuline Sister Jean Marie Hettinger was offered Nov. 21 at the Ursuline Motherhouse Chapel in Louisville, Ky. Sister Jean Marie died Nov. 17. She was 77.
A Louisville native, Sister Jean Marie entered the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville in 1953. She was an assistant principal at Ursuline Academy in Cumberland from 1960 to 1961. She also taught at schools and served in parishes in Kentucky, South Carolina, West Virginia and Alabama, and served two terms on the Ursuline Sisters General Council.
