Seton Keough High School’s a Cappella choir will perform at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall before and after performances by the legendary rock group Chicago on May 15, 2013 at 6:30 PM. The event benefits Junior Achievement of Central Maryland (JA) which helps students in grades K-12 grow in work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy.
Seton Keough’s award-winning all-girls choir competes in festivals around the country. In March of last year, the choir, under the direction of Ms. Sarah Larson, won 1st place at the Fiesta-Val Music Festival. Most recently, the group of 15 received a “Superior” score for their performance at the Heritage Music Festival in Philadelphia.
Seton Keough High School is a Catholic, all-girls, college preparatory school located in Catonsville, Maryland. Although known for its outstanding performing and fine arts programs, Seton Keough’s biomedical and engineering program, “Women in Science & Technology,” has made it a destination school for young women considering a career in these fields. The unique program features partnerships with St. Agnes Hospital, the Henry and Marion J. Knott Foundation, the France-Merrick Foundation, and local engineering firms. Seton Keough also offers over 30 clubs and extracurricular activities and fields 18 competitive teams in 12 sports.
The school is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its founding following the merger of Archbishop Keough and Seton High Schools.
