Sen. Kennedy did not deserve Catholic funeral

There seems to be a minority in the clergy that treats politicians as a favored class of Catholics. The recent funeral of Sen. Kennedy is a good example. As a lifelong Catholic and a fighter for the lives of the unborn since Roe v. Wade, I can’t help but feel extreme frustration that this man was given a public Catholic funeral.

Do those priests and bishops realize what a scandal this caused?

This senator never ceased to work for the destruction of the babies in the womb; yet, he is lauded and commended even by the members of the hierarchy. He tried to advance the cause of radical homosexuals in pushing for ‘marriage’ between two men or two women; a total transformation of society against the church’s teaching, but nary a word said against it.

To add insult to injury, against the norms for a Catholic funeral, President Obama, who never saw a pro-abortion law he didn’t like, gave a eulogy at this funeral. This is a slap in the face to every Catholic working in the trenches to protect the smallest in the womb. When are the bishops and priests going to stop pandering to those “Catholics” who not only co-operate with evil, but stridently work to continue it?
