School Sisters celebrate jubilees

While marking the 175th anniversary of the founding of their order, some local School Sisters of Notre Dame will also celebrate their own milestones. Eleven sisters from Baltimore will celebrate jubilees at Villa Notre Dame in Wilton, Conn., May 3.

Sister Mary Benigna Brandl, S.S.N.D., will celebrate her 70th anniversary of profession. Sister Mary Benigna serves in presence and prayer at Villa Assumpta in Baltimore.

Sister Maria Burgan, S.S.N.D., will celebrate her 60th anniversary of profession. Sister Maria served at St. Mark, Catonsville, from 1951 to 1960.

Sister Ann Carnan Lohrfink, S.S.N.D., will celebrate her 60th anniversary of profession. Sister Ann Carnan serves in the technology office of Maria Heath Care Center in Baltimore.

Sister Eileen McFadden, S.S.N.D., (formerly Sister Timothene) will celebrate her 60th anniversary of profession. Sister Eileen serves in prayer and presence at Villa Assumpta in Baltimore.

Sister Emmanuella Rainer, S.S.N.D., will celebrate her 60th anniversary of profession. Sister Emmanuella is a pastoral ministry volunteer at St. Brigid, Canton.

Sister Bernadetta Staab, S.S.N.D., will celebrate her 60th anniversary of profession. Sister Bernadetta is a volunteer at Villa Assumpta in Baltimore.

Sister Frances Watkowski, S.S.N.D., will celebrate her 60th anniversary of profession. Sister Frances is currently a volunteer in the finance office of the Atlantic-Midwest province in Baltimore.

Sister Joan Doyle, S.S.N.D., will celebrate her 50th anniversary of profession. Sister Joan serves as a provincial councilor for the Atlantic-Midwest province.

Sister Dorothy Malone, S.S.N.D., will celebrate her 50th anniversary of profession. Sister Dorothy currently serves at Maryvale Preparatory School, Brooklandville.

Sister Gabriel Rodner, S.S.N.D., will celebrate her 50th anniversary of profession. Sister Gabriel is a religious teacher in Baltimore.

Sister Janet Mary Shields, S.S.N.D., will celebrate her 50th anniversary of profession. Sister Janet Mary is currently the principal of Lansdowne Middle School in Baltimore.
