The girls’ lacrosse team from Notre Dame Preparatory School strengthened its standing in the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference with a 17-7 victory at Maryvale Preparatory April 13.
With their third straight victory, coach Mac Ford’s Blazers improved to 3-3 in the conference, where they are part of a five-team tie for fourth place, behind national power McDonogh, Roland Park Country School and John Carroll.

In taking a 9-2 halftime lead and cruising to its fifth victory of the season, NDP coach Ford pointed to the Blazers’ 19-5 dominance of the draws, with sophomore Jordan Sabourin wining seven and freshman Sydney Rosa five.
Sophomore Hannah Mardiney and juniors Gil Eby and Katie Railey had three goals apiece for NDP, and Kenzie Schultz had a goal and three assists. Grace Haus, a junior, had two goals and an assist, classmates Megan Jackson and Halle Regan each had a goal and an assist, and juniors Keegan Barger and Luisa Mangione and sophomore Caitlin Mossman also notched goals.
NDP goalie Lucy Lowe recorded nine saves.
Sophia Anton led Maryvale with four goals.
