New organ to be dedicated in St. Peter’s

A newly installed Rodgers Trillium Masterpiece three-manual organ was installed in St. Peter the Apostle, Libertytown, and will be dedicated in a concert Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. After a fire destroyed the original church in June 2004, the custom-made Rodgers digital pipe organ was purchased with parishioner and community donations during a capital campaign.

St. Peter’s opened its new church building in September.

The evening of music will feature the musical artistry of Dan Miller, an internationally renowned pianist, organist, harpsichordist and keyboardist, with a fascination for computer music technology.

The concert is free, and a free will offering will be taken to benefit St. Peter’s Parish Food Bank.
