My personal Lenten goal

As we all know, Ash Wednesday recently kicked off the season of Lent.

One of the activities hosted by the Campus Ministry department at Calvert Hall is Lenten Small Groups. Starting before school and running through homeroom, about 350 students gather in small groups with friends and a faculty member to share their faith. For high school students, discussing their faith life generally isn’t something they do during their free time. However, the small groups activity creates a comfortable environment for students to openly discuss their faith.

One of the questions covered during the first small group meeting was “what is one of your Lenten goals?” In my group most students said “to pray more.” My personal goal this Lenten season is to create stronger relationships with my peers, whether it be constructing new friendships or strengthening current friendships.
