Mount St. Mary’s alumnus elected to ethics committee

Francis X. Ryan, a certified public accountant from Lebanon, Pa., who is also an audit committee chairman for the Archdiocese of Baltimore, was recently elected to a three-year term on the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants Committee on Professional Ethics.

Ryan, who serves as president of F.X. Ryan & Associates in Lebanon is also president of the board of directors of the Good Shepherd Center in Baltimore, which is a residential treatment facility for adolescents from ages 13 to 21.

He is also on the board of trustees for the Institute of World Politics.

Ryan, a retired colonel in the United States Marine Corps who served on active duty and the reserve component from 1969 until his retirement in 2005, received his bachelor’s degree from Mount St. Mary’s University and his master’s degree from the University of Maryland.
