Saint John Paul II

“Dear boys and girls, missionary activity helps you to grow in faith and makes you joyful disciples of Jesus.”

Purpose

  • To encourage all children to be aware of the needs of children living in mission dioceses throughout the world and support them both spiritually and sacrificially

History

Founded in 1843 by Bishop Charles de Forbin-Janson in France with the motto “children helping children,” the MCA (formerly HCA) helps children in more than 110 nations to know Jesus. Monies raised through schools and various groups are directed towards self-help programs involving the building of schools, the provision of health and nutrition programs and medications, school fees, and teaching and learning resources.
