Catholics from across the state are expected to be among hundreds of citizens who participate in the annual Maryland March for Life in Annapolis March 12.
Cardinal Edwin F. O’Brien will kick off the event with a 5:15 p.m. Mass at St. Mary on Duke of Gloucester Street while a non-denominational service is held in the school hall at the same time. The march begins at 6:30 p.m. from St. Mary’s parking lot, with participants walking through downtown Annapolis to Lawyer’s Mall.
During a rally outside the State House, some featured speakers will include the Rev. Derek McCoy, head of the Maryland Marriage Alliance; Sean McKavitt, a senior at St. Mary’s High School; Kelly Stauffer of Silent No More and Tracey Tiernan, host of a local Christian radio program.
