In order to be considered for admission to any participating Catholic high school, eighth-grade students must take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). There are two dates in December available to take the HSPT – Dec. 7 and Dec. 14.
All eighth-grade students are encouraged to pre-register to take the HSPT. The exam will be offered at each Catholic high school on above dates for a $30 fee. Fee must be paid in cash upon arrival on the testing date.
Students can take the test at any Catholic high school and have the option of sending their results to up to three different schools.
Registration may be completed online or by completing the registration form and mailing it to the testing site. A hard-copy of the registration form can be found on each school’s website and in their Admissions Office.
Remember to bring two number 2 pencils and the use of calculators is not permitted during testing.
Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. and the test will begin promptly at 9 a.m. and end at approximately 12 p.m.
Requesting test accommodations: Students with an ISP or IEP requesting accommodations on the placement test must submit the required documentation to the high school test site. Please contact the Admissions Office for more information.
