Almost all events submitted – if they are sponsored by a Catholic parish, school or other organization in the Archdiocese of Baltimore – will be featured in the online calendar.

A human monitor will approve submissions for posting.

Events submitted by the first of the month prior to the month of the event may be considered for the print edition of Catholic Review magazine (e.g., by Jan. 1 for publication in the February magazine). So that all entities in the archdiocese have a fair opportunity to be listed in the limited space in the print publication, entities will be limited to no more than two in each calendar month print edition. If more than two have been submitted, Catholic Review Media staff will decide which items to publish, at their discretion.

“The Future of Work, Labor After Laudato Si’: Catholics and the Federal Workers Crisis”

May 10 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm EDT

In honor of the Feast of St Joseph the Worker on May 10, join fellow Catholics from around the region at Baltimore’s St. Vincent de Paul parish (120 N. Front Street) from 3-5PM to learn about what Catholic social teaching says about the dignity of work, the rights of workers, and how all Catholics are called to respond. The event will feature a panel of Baltimore and Washington D.C.-based Catholic labor leaders, who will discuss their work with the Vatican to establish a global roadmap for the future of work and labor, and how everyday Catholics can get involved in the pursuit of worker dignity. Specifically, the event will focus primarily on the ongoing local crisis regarding the unjust firing of tens of thousands of local Federal employees (which subsequently risks negative impacts for the dignity and lives of everyday Americans) – and what all local Catholics can do in the pursuit of justice in accordance with our Faith.
