Mass of Consolation

On Friday, October 4, 2024, The Catholic Community of Ascension and St. Augustine will celebrate a Mass of Consolation 7 pm on the Ascension Campus located at 1527 Potomac Avenue, Halethorpe, MD 21227. This Mass will remember babies and children lost through early infant death. All those who have lost children are encouraged to attend. It does not matter how long the loss has been. Parents will be able to enter their children’s names in the Book of Innocents. A Naming Ceremony will take place for parents who lost their babies early in pregnancy. Finally, there will be a Candle Lighting Ceremony to symbolize the children lost who are now safely in the arms of the Lord.
