When it comes to knowing where in the world things are, Our Lady of Perpetual Help eighth-grader Kevin Roche is a whiz. Kevin won the Ellicott City School’s National Geographic Bee Jan. 5, and after completing a written test, has been qualified to represent OLPH School at the state level of the National Geographic Bee. The state contest will be held March 30.

“We are all very proud of Kevin and wish him the best of luck,” said Rose Goeres, principal of OLPH School.

The contest, which is designed to promote and spark an interest in geography, is open to eligible students in grades four through eight.
