No matter how many words are awkwardly assembled, or how many wishful wands of “Catholicism Lite” are waved about, the Obama position on abortion is simply, undeniably, genocide of the unborn helpless, the least among us.
At a 2007 Planned Parenthood conference, Obama promised that one of his highest priorities as president would be to pass FOCA, rendering illegal all state and federal limits on abortion. This would include abortion clinic regulations, parental notification requirements, bars to taxpayer’s abortion funding, and the partial-birth abortion ban, in addition to laws protecting doctor’s rights to conscientious objection.
There is nothing that Obama and his followers can deal out in their political game, to any person or groups of persons, that trumps Obama’s promised use of the death card.
People who assert their Catholicism, but misinterpret the Bishops and continue to ignore genocide in favor of “for the greater good” programs need to seriously reevaluate their Catholic commitment.
If 54 percent of Catholics in America voted to ignore the continued genocide in order to soothe their conscience for the promise of Obama’s change, I say, so be it. But please, don’t turn around with the blood of your vote on your hands and fervently claim to be what you’re not … Catholic.
