Father Leo Patalinghug’s “Culinary Confessions” (CR, Nov. 1) brought back fond memories and a few tears. I can attest to the merits of “month-aversaries.” Starting with the first month anniversary of our first date, my wife and I continued the practice through our courtship and 15 years of marriage without missing a month. The most memorable one was celebrated in the hospital with the bed table bedecked with china, silverware and candle light. I insisted that we get married on the same day of the month so not to complicate things for me, as we all know how men are with dates. I can still hear her counting off the number of years and months together each 11th day of the month.
