How does faith call us to bring hope and healing to the world? Discuss this topic March 12-16 at Mount St. Mary’s University, Emmitsburg, when they host the third annual Callings Conference: Bearers of Hope and Healing. Callings is a program for the theological exploration of Christian vocation.
Professionals, scholars, students and the public will explore issues while presenters discuss global, societal, spiritual and physical healing. Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, retired archbishop of Washington, D.C., will open the conference with Mass. Highlights of the five-day conference include a peaceworker from England, a holocaust survivor, a documentary film producer, and a music therapist.
