I read with a little apprehension “Vatican budgets show previously unreported assets” (CR, July 23). Besides the fact of unreported assets of a billion dollars in assets (not million), it also has a budget of 41.3 million dollars in the black!!! Our good Pope Francis’ most enduring message is the gospel message to help the poor living in poverty!
My question is: How much of the Vatican’s overflowing budget and assets go to help the poor?
