Building in Jamaica

Sacred Heart School, Glyndon, students collected more than 100 cartons of books and donations the week of May 7 to help build a library in Jamaica through Food For The Poor. Although the school is still collecting donations, more money is needed to ship books from the organization’s office in Florida to Jamaica so the library project can be completed. Donations for the Sacred Heart School Library Fund (payable to Food For The Poor, Inc., source code #55698) can be mailed to 6401 Lyons Road, Coconut Creek, Fla. 33073. “The opportunity to assist Food For The Poor in building a library and the donation of books is a way for our student community to give to those in need on a global scale,” said teacher Erin Barresi, student council moderator of Sacred Heart School.
