Comedian, author and civic activist Bill Cosby is scheduled to appear at a block party outside St. Ambrose, Baltimore, July 31.
The event will be hosted by Mayor Sheila Dixon and the city. It will also serve as a resource fair, with all invited to attend. Food, entertainment, prizes and children’s activities are among the features.
Organizers have used the motto, “Let’s Work Together,” to tout the event.
Mr. Cosby, the star of the 1980s hit “The Cosby Show,” has been outspoken about issues involving African-Americans, including self-empowerment.
