Named in the 1940s by publicity director David Woods, the annual Alibi breakfast at Pimlico Race Course features a gathering of media, owners, trainers, jockeys and horsemen to celebrate Preakness and solicit interesting predictions, according to the Preakness Stakes website.
This year, as well as last, Archbishop William E. Lori led the invocation at the start of the breakfast.
