The Archdiocese of Baltimore announced today that it plans to unveil its newly designed web site the weekend of May 29-30, 2004.
The site will boast a number of new features and functions, including Archdiocesan-wide calendar of events, enhanced search capability, and a comprehensive list of homilies and talks delivered by Cardinal William H. Keeler and his Auxiliary Bishops.
“The archdiocesan web site is a source of information for people who desire a better understanding of the significant contributions that the Catholic Church has made in the State of Maryland and throughout the United States,” William A. Glover, Director of Information Technology said. “It is also a place where people can easily find basic information such as driving directions and Mass schedules in a matter of seconds. It is very user-friendly.”
More than 300 people from throughout the archdiocese provided input that was factored into the redesign of the site. Other features include an enhanced history about the people, places and things of the archdiocese, and an enhanced search for parishes, schools and Catholic affiliate organizations.
“It is our hope that people of all faiths will visit our web site to learn more about the Archdiocese of Baltimore and that viewers will find it easy to use, informative and a resource that they will come to use frequently,” Cardinal Keeler said.
