Archdiocese Holds 4th Annual Gala for Catholic Schools Saturday; Event Expects to Raise $700K for Tuition Assistance

Archbishop William E. Lori will be joined by some 800 supporters of Catholic schools at the 4th annual Archdiocese of Baltimore Gala Saturday, September 29, at 6 p.m. at the Baltimore Waterfront Marriott. The event is expected to raise $700,000 in tuition assistance for students attending Catholic schools.

The program will feature Anirban Basu, one of the Mid-Atlantic region’s most notable economists, as the keynote speaker. Mr. Basu will present a report on the economic impact and benefits of Baltimore-area Catholic schools to their graduates and the State of Maryland.

The Archbishop will also share updated news about recent enrollment figures and student performance on standardized tests.

Attendees will have the opportunity to “sponsor-a-student” and to bid on an exclusive tour of Rome and the Holy Land with proceeds going to scholarships for Catholic school students.
