The Bon Secours Retreat & Conference Center is a ministry of the Sisters of Bon Secours. The Center is fully air-conditioned with spacious and comfortable meeting rooms of various sizes, 70 individual overnight rooms with private bathrooms, and a kitchen famous for its delicious, healthy, and creative meals. Bon Secours offers a variety of sponsored programs, or you can arrange your own retreat or conference. We are happy to assist you in making all the arrangements. The Center sits at the highest point of 313 acres of pastures and woodlands adjacent to Patapsco State Park. A small urban Catholic facility located on the site of the first Catholic seminary in the United States, including the charming Old Seminary Chapel, a national historic landmark building and the first example of neo-gothic church architecture in the U.S. The center offers the following: (1) Leaders for specific workshops and one-day retreats for parish ministries and other groups. Each group may schedule a program at their parish, and this Center, or at any other suitable location. (2) One-to-one Spiritual Direction by trained and experienced directors. (3) Use of the facilities for group meetings (up to 150). (4) Progoff Intensive Journal workshops for personal and spiritual growth. The South Baltimore Retreat House is the perfect place for groups wanting to humbly encounter, serve, and reflect. Its setting is ideal for groups seeking to be close to many volunteer opportunities, interested in an urban oasis for speakers and reflection, and wanting to feel welcomed by a warm and vibrant parish. Available for daily meetings (up to 40) and overnight retreats (sleeps up to 32 in six bedrooms with five full baths).
Featuring a chapel, large eat-in kitchen, and private backyard, groups may also request access to neighboring Holy Cross Church and Hall spaces for Mass and larger meetings.
