Archbishop William E. Lori joined other Christian religious and charitable leaders from around the world in sending Christmas greetings to listeners of the English Section of Vatican Radio.
In the message, recorded in the archbishop’s Baltimore office across the street from the United States’ first cathedral, Archbishop Lori reminds the faithful, “Through our baptism, we entered into a lifelong relationship with Jesus that has brought us an abundance of blessings. Our Catholic faith asks us to share those blessings with others and to affirm their God-given dignity by showing them love and respect.”
He also said, “We embrace the invitation of our dear Holy Father, Pope Francis, to show mercy and kindness to others, especially the poor, the immigrant, and those who are alone in this world.”
