St. Agnes Healthcare in Baltimore announced Dec. 14 that Keith Vander Kolk will succeed Bonnie Phipps as the organization’s president and CEO.
“Keith brings a great deal of experience, passion and vision to St. Agnes,” said Phipps in a statement.
She led St. Agnes for nine years before she was promoted to senior vice president and operating executive of Ascension Health, the nationwide Catholic and not-for-profit health system that oversees St. Agnes.
Vander Kolk, a parishioner of Our Lady of the Fields in Millersville, previously served as CEO of Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare, a $1.3 billion venture between Johns Hopkins Medicine and Saudi Aramco, Saudi Arabia’s national oil company. He was responsible for the operation of a 330-bed health center, four outlying clinics and 82 contracted facilities.
“I look forward to contributing my experience toward continuing St. Agnes’ 150-year mission and legacy as a vibrant healthcare ministry by leading the overall strategy and operations of St. Agnes Healthcare,” Vander Kolk said in a statement.
“As president and CEO, I plan to support all our associations and physicians as we realize the vision of St. Agnes, strengthening our ministry with a keen focus on population health in the areas we serve and continuing to provide compassionate, personalized and high-quality care,” he continued.
Vander Kolk will also serve as vice president of Ascension Health.
