Sister Mary Pagano, M.P.F., dies

A funeral Mass was offered Dec. 9 for Religious Teachers Filippini Sister Mary Pagano at Villa Walsh in Morristown, N.J. Sister Mary, 95, died there Dec. 5.
Born and raised in Newark, N.J., she entered the Religious Teachers Filippini in 1934 and professed her final vows four years later. Near the start of a lengthy career as a teacher and administrator that was primarily spent in New Jersey, she taught seventh grade at Our Lady of Pompei School in Baltimore, 1938-39. She had earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Seton Hall University. Sister Mary retired at Villa Walsh in 2001.
