Six sisters from the Oblate Sisters of Providence in Arbutus gleefully visited the Ravens Under Armour Performance Center Aug. 26, according to an article written by Ryan Mink, a staff writer for BaltimoreRavens.com. The sisters watched the Ravens practice, then met almost every player and coach.
“We’re just all terrific football fans,” Oblate Sister of Providence Mary Alexis Fisher, superior general, said in Mink’s article. “Having this experience of coming here to visit, I think you can see it in my face, I’m just ecstatic.”
According to Mink’s article, the sisters have visited the Owings Mills training facility before and are Ravens fans – they swap their traditional black and white attire for Ravens jerseys – who watch football games together. And, they performed Ray Lewis’ signature “Squirrel Dance” while watching the Super Bowl in February.
