Mercy High School raced to a 28-14 halftime lead and maintained that advantage at the end to post a 42-28 basketball victory over its rival, Institute of Notre Dame, in front of approximately 4,000 fans at the Towson Center Feb. 1.

Snapping a three-game losing streak to IND, Mercy now holds a 31-16 edge in what both sides call “The Game,” a major attraction that is taken to a college venue.
Kristina Bayton led the Magic (6-13 overall ) of coach Mary Ella Marion with 12 points. Brooke Fields had 10 for the Penguins (9-8) of coach Jerry Hahn, who led 5-0 after a three-pointer by his daughter, Jennifer.
