Loyola College names new vice president

A new vice president for academic affairs at Loyola College in Maryland, Baltimore, has been named. Dr. Timothy Law Snyder, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Fairfield University in Connecticut, will begin his duties this summer. He will oversee all academic functions at Loyola, including the operation of undergraduate and graduate programs in its two divisions. He also will join the president’s cabinet at Loyola to provide strategic leadership. While at Fairfield, Dr. Snyder also held a faculty position as full professor of mathematics and computer science.

“His commitment to Jesuit education and the Ignatian traditions of collaboration, innovation and diversity will serve Loyola well as the college encounters future opportunities and challenges,” said college president Father Brian Linnane, S.J.
