Catholic Men’s Conference is Feb. 23

The annual Catholic Men’s Conference, sponsored by Catholic Men’s Fellowship of Maryland, will be held Feb. 23 at Archbishop Curley High School in Baltimore. This year’s theme is “Father, Faith and Family.”

Monsignor James Farmer, pastor of St. Ursula in Parkville, will speak on prayer as a conversation with God. Kevin Burke, cofounder of Rachel’s Vineyard Ministries, will address men and abortion. Monsignor Stuart W. Swetland, director of homiletics and pre-theology at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, will speak on Christian manhood.

The conference will begin with doughnuts and coffee at 8 a.m., with the talks to follow at 9 a.m. Archbishop Edwin F. O’Brien will celebrate the closing Mass at 4 p.m. and there will be opportunities for confession and Eucharistic adoration. A short film featuring Catholic major league baseball players will also be shown.

The cost is $35 for adults and $20 if men bring their sons. A lunch will be provided. To register, call 410-252-5737.
