St. John Regional Catholic School in Frederick was scheduled to receive a Summit Award March 12 from the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce.
The school was one of seven organizations receiving the award during the Chamber’s annual meeting. It was recognized in the nonprofit category as a partner in business with Homewood at Crumland Farms, an assisted living facility for seniors.
St. John’s student participation with the senior residents at Homewood in the Sunshine Readers program and the school’s Light of Hope Service Group was also acknowledged.
