Mother lauds Ascension, Cardinal Gibbons

It saddens me to learn about closing our schools, especially Ascension in Halethorpe and Cardinal Gibbons. My son attended them in the 1960s and ’70s. Both were and still are good schools.

It is hard for me to think that a (elementary) school will be built on Seton Keough grounds. Did anyone think of combining Cardinal Gibbons and Seton Keough and making it a co-ed school, like Archbishop Spalding? I can’t believe Monsignor Robert Hartnett couldn’t come up with an idea to save Cardinal Gibbons, since it is his alma mater. .
