Can a student’s Catholic faith survive college or the military? Most new college students want to find a place to belong. They want to be part of a community of people making a difference. The problem is many students struggle to find great friends who share their faith. Walking onto a new campus or base with no friends is overwhelming. There are so many opportunities and decisions to make. Faith usually isn’t at the top of their list. Sadly, over 80% of Catholic students drift from their faith during college. Our Archdiocese is changing that through our local college campus ministries and our partnership with a nonprofit ministry called Newman Connection.
Newman Connection connects students with a Catholic community on campus so their faith thrives in college and beyond. Since 2009, we’ve connected 600,000+ students to campus ministry in college and are endorsed in 115+ dioceses nationwide, including the Archdiocese of the Military. Newman Connection ensures students continue their faith journey in college and their military base.
