Feast of St. Louis Oratory flyer

We begin our 19th season journey with a musical tribute to the parish’s patron saint, King Louis IX of France, on his feast day. The multi-layered program intersperses French sacred music, congregational hymns, and other melodies with writings and teachings of St. Louis to celebrate France’s only canonized king. Organists Charles Higg and Nicholas Bowden, pianist Isaiah Shim, and sopranos Colleen Daly and Kelli Young join forces to present this afternoon of profoundly beautiful works. Enjoy a post-concert reception of light refreshments.

Drawing inspiration from the dazzling stained glass windows of Sainte Chappelle, King Louis IX’s ambitious project and crowning achievement, the Feast of St. Louis Oratory launches our “Illuminating Lives through Music” season and fund-raising campaign. As the season progresses, we’ll be sharing more about the campaign and inviting you to lend your support.

Please join us at 4 p.m. on August 25 to honor St. Louis and to kick-off our 2024-25 season
