Share your 9/11 memories

Everyone of a certain age has recollections of Nov. 22, 1963, the day President John F. Kennedy was assassinated.

Similarly, most Americans recall where they were and what they were doing the morning of Sept. 11, 2001, when al-Qaida terrorists took hostage four commercial jets. Two were flown into the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers in Manhattan, and another was flown into the Pentagon. Passengers fought back on the other, which went down in Western Pennsylvania. All told, the attacks took nearly 3,000 lives.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the attacks.

Where were you and your loved ones that day? Were you, or any members of your family, serving in the U.S. military or moved to join our men and women in uniform?

How did you comfort your loved ones in the days that followed? How did you mourn our nation’s loss, and how did your faith provide strength in the aftermath of the shocking attack? Were any of your younger relatives born Sept. 11, 2001? How has their life been affected by being born on this momentous day?
