Catholic-Protestant retreat for Scouts

The 2007 Boy Scout Retreat will be held at Camp Spencer- Broad Creek memorial Scout Reservation from May 4-6.

“The theme of the joint religious retreat for 2007 is ‘Peace through faith,’ stressing that we should use our faith to achieve a better understanding of all those about us and across the world,” said Ed Piechowiak, vice-chair of the Catholic Committee on Scouting for the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

The annual retreat will have a day program for Cubs and Webelos as well as a full weekend program for Scouts. An introduction to the Religious Emblem programs and the Chaplains Aide program will also be provided for adult leaders.

“In keeping with the 12th point of the Scout Law, ‘A Scout is Reverant’, Scout leaders should encourage their units to participate in the Catholic- Protestant Retreat for 2007,” said Mr. Piechowiak.

For more information contact Mr. Piechowiak at 410-744-7689.
