Catholic/Orthodox Dialogue closes with press conference

The “VIII Plenary Session of the Joint International Commission for the Theological Dialogue Between the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church” will close tomorrow, Wednesday, July 19, 2000 with a press conference in front of the seminary building at Mount Saint Mary’s College and Seminary, Emmitsburg, Maryland. The press conference will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. Please note that this is an hour earlier than previously reported.

Dialogue Commission Co-Presidents, Cardinal Edward I. Cassidy, representing the Holy See (Catholic) and Archbishop Stylianos, representing the Ecumenical Patriarchate (Orthodox), and Cardinal William H. Keeler, Archbishop of Baltimore, will speak at the press conference. Cardinal Keeler is a Catholic delegate to the Dialogue and host for the talks.
