Archbishop Visits Catholic Schools on First Day

Archbishop William E. Lori, Jim Sellinger, Chancellor of Education, and Dr. Barbara Edmondson, Superintendent of Schools, will greet students and their families at St. Clement Mary Hofbauer School, Rosedale, on Monday, August 24 at 7:30 a.m. to celebrate the start of the new school year. At 9:30 a.m., they will visit St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School, Baltimore, to congratulate students and faculty on the school’s newest signature program, the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (IB MYP).

Following a rigorous, three year application process, St. Francis of Assisi School recently received full authorization for the IB program. They are the first non-public school in Baltimore City to offer IB. St. Francis of Assisi is also celebrating its 60th anniversary and is proud to add this newest signature program to a vibrant tradition of excellence.
