We are committed to making Baltimore safer. We take part in a number of crime prevention programs, including Safe Streets, an evidence-based violence prevention and interruption program that works to reduce shootings and homicides in high violence areas.
Healing and Caring
A healthy city is a thriving city. We operate hospitals and health care facilities throughout Baltimore, providing preventive care, housing for seniors and emergency medicine. Mercy Medical Center anchors downtown, connecting residents with a wide range of healthcare services.
Serving Essential Needs
The homeless and those in poverty are the focus of a number of our programs. Our Daily Bread serves meals to thousands of people in Baltimore throughout the year. Christopher Place Employment Academy provides a second chance to men had been homeless or incarcerated.
Supporting Neighborhoods
Our parishes and schools are the cornerstones of many neighborhoods across Baltimore City. Working with Catholic Charities of Baltimore, we provide meal programs, healthcare screenings and workforce development to parishioners and non-Catholics alike.
